The Ankh is an acient egyptian symbol, a cross with a loop on top. You will see gods and godesses and pharaoas holding ankhs in paintings and carvings everywhere. Its earliest significance is not understood but it was given by the gods to the King as a symbol of life and iresistable strength. It is also seen in Coptic Christian icons and remains a popular symbol to the present day.

It was often shown  being offered to the Kings lips as a symbol of the "breath of life". Anthropomorphic pictures of the Ankh sometimes show it holding an ostrich feather fan behind the pharao in a variant form of this idea. Similarly, chains of ankhs were shown poured out of water vessels over the King as a symbol  of the regenerating power of water.Libation vessels which held the water used in religous ceremonies were themselves sometimes produced in the shape of the Ankh hieroglyph.

The popularity of the ankh is evident in the various and numerous types of everyday objects which were shaped in the form of the ankh. In Tutunchamon's tomb, a gilded mirror case was found in the shape of an Ankh. The artist clearly was enjoying a play on words, as the Egyptian word for "mirror" was also "Ankh".

By a healthy person de energy is able to circulate through the meridians in 24 hours. When the meridian gets damaged--because of a wound /trauma or a unhealthy life-- there will be a blokkage, therefore energy is uable to circulate freely within the meridian..
